Finding interim refuge in a house inhabited by other desperate people, Malorie gives birth. Blindfolds, as protection, take center stage. Unseen but lethal - anyone who looks in its direction is impelled to commit suicide by any means - the evil presence is destroying the population. Painter Malorie ( Sandra Bullock), mid-pregnancy and unsure about becoming a mother, is thrust into a global nightmare in BIRD BOX. But this movie was well done and is very enjoyable to watch if you are not easily scared. The movie also shows two ladies giving birth at the same time with no pain killers. She quickly closes the door so the scene doesn’t go on for too long. This movie also have a graphic sex scene: the main characters walks in on two side characters up against the wall with their legs wrapped around each other. Also a newly born infant is in mortal danger and you have no idea if it will get killed or not. ![]() Children are in constant danger and are very clueless so they walk head first into danger and have no idea. ![]() The characters are in constant danger and many distressing scenes with graphic suicide (smashing face into glass repeatedly, standing in front of huge truck, smashing head on stone walls, stabbing in neck with scissors) all these scenes are very gory and show lots of blood. What a great movie! This movie is entirely based off of suicide so if you have had self harming thoughts then this movie could be very upsetting for you so I wouldn’t watch it. ![]()
